Soldering

Soldering is a process in which two or more metal items are joined together by melting and then flowing a filler metal into the joint—the filler metal having a relatively low melting point. Soldering is used to form a permanent connection between electronic components.

The Task:

Just to know about soldering we had to fix on a PCB a simple led lighting circuit.

The Circuit Components:

1. A led

2. A resistance 10K

3. A Battery/Power Supply 5V

4. A push Button

The circuit drawn simply on Eagle:

Tools:

  • Soldering Iron.

  • Tweezers.

  • Wet Sponge.

  • Soldering Stand.

  • Safety Glasses.

Safety:

  • Never touch the element of the soldering iron....400°C!

  • Hold wires to be heated with tweezers or clamps.

  • Keep the cleaning sponge wet during use.

  • Always return the soldering iron to its stand when not in use. Never put it down on the workbench.
