1.Get your Laptop Ready
Just make sure you take your laptop with you!

2. Visit your nearest FABLAB or visit us at FLINC
When you get there you can upload the Cutstudio from there on your laptop it only takes few minutes from 2-3 minutes.
Go to folder Roland > Software> Cutstudio>Setup
The setup file will start running with some "next" instructions.
If you didnot find a shortcut to the Cutstudio on your desktop, Just search for it in your laptop and pin it to the desktop.
Now all you need is to setup the vinyl cutter's drivers for your laptop.
Go to Drivers>Choose your software>Setup.
Now Everything's set to go.

3. Prepare your file

Try Google> search for stickers/gray scale stickers/if you have something in mind don't hesitate to just google images for it.
Download it.

4. Open Cutstudio

Go to import to attach the picture. Try to make the picture in JPEG format usually PNG doesnot appear in pictures to import.

You have to right click on the picture > Image outline > extract contour lines > Ok

You can fix the contour lines by controlling the alignment image density.

Move the countour lines away from the picture make sure lines are the way you want.

You can edit the contour lines by just clicking on it.



4. Let's Cut!

Connect vinyl's USB to to your laptop
-
Set your sheet in the cutter. Place the holders beneath sensors.

Click ENTER> PEICE
-
Dimensions will show on screen automatically

In your laptop, Go to Cutting > Properties> Get from machine

CUT!

Remove sticky part out of the vinyl paper.


You can always use the leftovers :D
